For more information visit our website at Simon & Schuster is seeking a production manager for the Adult trade department. In this role, the production manager will oversee a diverse list of titles, including one-color and two-color hardcover originals and paperback conversions. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of book production while also working closely with multiple departments across Simon & Schuster. This is a short-term assignment, likely until the end of the year. **Responsibilities include:** · Entering and updating book specifications in our title management system · Issuing purchase orders · Coordinating closely with domestic and overseas component printers and binderies · Enforcing production deadlines and keeping titles on schedule · Reviewing book samples to ensure quality standards are met **Requirements:** · 5 years of book production experience · Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment · Strong communication and organizational skills · Excellent attention to detail · Proficiency with Excel, Acrobat, OneDrive/SharePoint is a plus Simon & Schuster US is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) including disability/vet.
